 Really tired, spent the weekend in New York at NY Comic Con.  Had a blast!  Got some of my books autographed by authors I knew would be there.  I also ran into some bloggers.  I'll have to add some pictures later.  And if I feel up to it, I'll actually type out the books from above.

In a slump

Sorry, I have been in a bit of a slump.  A week ago today, I had to put my dog down.  She just turned 17 so she was really old.  You would have thought it would have been easier with how old she was.  I had gone away for the weekend and she was in the kennel.  They called on Sunday and told me she wasn't herself.  I planned to pick her up Monday after work because I wasn't home in time to pick her up on Sunday.  Well they called and said she wouldn't even sit up.  So I went right away.  Seeing her suffer and slowly dying ripped my heart out.

Anyway, I have been reading but having been posting much and that's saying something since I don't post much as it is.  I still haven't posted my goodies from AAD nor have I posted what I've bought or received for 2 weeks.  I promise I'll get back to it.

Authors After Dark 2010

First I was a little bummed because I confused the dates of this event with a college reunion.  So I never registered for the event.  I wish I would have but I was able to attend for the day on Saturday.  Unfortunately the day passes don't include the meals so I didn't get to eat with the authors.  But other than that it was awesome!  This was the first authors convention of any type that I have attended so I didn't know what to expect.  The authors were all very nice, the panels were interesting and gave you the chance to ask the authors questions related to the topic and their books.  I met authors I haven't read before and will be adding them to by wish list.  The author signing was also on Saturday.  The nice thing about the signing is you were permitted to bring pre-purchased books in to have them signed.  A lot of events, from what I have heard, require you to purchase the books at the event.  Don't get me wrong they did have books to purchase, so I was able to buy some of the books I was interested in.  And you could get them signed.  I got to meet JoJo from JoJo's Book Corner and Larissa from Larissa's Bookish Life.
